Lagos - Lagos residents, traders and shop owners woke up this morning to witness yet another massive demolition at the popular Oshodi market in the state.
The commissioner was seen at the scene of the demolition with some other officials of several agencies, including The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI).
Steve Ayorinde, Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, had on Tuesday lamented that the market, constituted a menace and an eyesore within the locality.
He also noted that the affected traders and shop owners were to be relocated to the newly built Isopakodowo market stalls at Bolade area in Oshodi.
Police officers and other officials were on ground arresting people taking pictures of the demolition exercise.
It would be recalled that a similar exercise was carried out by the administration of the former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola eight years ago..
